Kairos Poster : Year of Jubilee

This poster was completed for an exhibition of visual representations of the ideals presented in the book "Kairos". "Kairos" is an abcedarium of alternative ways of thinking in an effort to publicize ideas that would improve our global society. Sourcing from the past, future or fiction, the ideals presented in "Kairos" are suggested as implementations to solve some of the world's largest problems.

The letter I chose from the abcdarium was "J" for the "Year of Jubilee". Seen in Old Testament Israel, this year of jubilee occurred every 49 years. In this year all debts were cleared, no matter the amount or lender you owed.
Applying this concept to a contemporary problem was pretty easy, especially as a college student. I wanted to emphasize the weight and helplessness students are feeling as they leave their universities with mountains of debt and job prospects that are lowering in number every day.
